My three year old female spayed Samoyed has had mucous (no blood) in her stool for about a week. One time she excreted purely mucous. Otherwise she's energetic and eating and drinking properly.

This last week Molly has had a lot of table scraps and ham bones left over from our meal. Two nights in a row, she had runny stool in the laundry room. Molly never soils the home, and I was wondering if her diet this last week is a cause. We are not feeding her table scraps any longer and I am getting up at night to let her out to do her business. Her stool is still slightly runny, but more formed than 3 nights ago. She doesn't seem to interested in eating.

My dog is a healthy Border Collie mix, however lately her stool is sometimes very soft. In one day she may have a normal stool and later that day, a very soft one. She is very excitable and sometimes I think that this contributes to the sudden change in her stool.
