My female German Sheppard just turned 13 years old. I have always fed Formula One dry food but in the last few months, it seems that the food hurts her going down her throat. I recently watered it down with chicken broth and it seemed to solve the problem. But, now she's not so interested in it. She usually weighed 70+ pounds but now weights 62. Should I just feed her the Formula One wet food?

Misty,our 13 year old mixed breed (mutt) now weighs 49 pounds. She used to weigh 56 pounds but has lost 7 pounds in 8 months. We feed her 3 cups of Purina rice and lamb a day.
