I just adopted a two month old lab-mix puppy three days ago. He was fine the first day, seemed to have a very slight runny nose. But yesterday proceeded to have a bad cough that occurred quite often and sounded like a "dry heave" he is very sluggish and not the same pup as the first day.

I have a 16 lb, 6 yr old pomeranian. The slightest pressure on her chest causes her to cough. Sometimes, especially at night, she'll cough without being touched. When she coughs she sounds like a goose honking. What could be the possible causes?

Is there such a thing as reverse sneeze? I have a 13 yr old Shih Tzu that the vet says that is what she has. When she is on steroids or antibiotics she does well, but the veterinarian does not want to keep her on these things. Can you tell me more about this condition and a possible treatment I can give her so she can get some relief? Thank you
